About

What started as a means of documenting life as teenager in the 90’s has developed into a passion for documenting the beauty in all things.

I shoot with a variety of film cameras from 35mm, 120, 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10. I develop and digitize all my own film and occasionally make prints in the Darkroom.

I love photographing people, places, events, and everything under the sun…

…and I also photograph the sun.

In the beginning, I always thought about photography in terms of fractions of a second based on how sunny it was. Then I got a tripod and starting shooting long-exposure photos that made me think about a photo in seconds based on the available streetlight, neon sign or plan photo sessions around the full moon.

Then Covid arrived and time changed again.

Days became weeks. Weeks became months. 2020 became 2021 and so on. In the fall of 2020 I started experimenting with Solargraphy. Now I think about photos in terms of weeks, months, and years.
